The final test will be fifteen words from this week's lesson and five words from last week's lesson. Checklist work is due on Friday, 5/2.

Our new unit is a study of the novel, Night of the Twisters. This book is the story of how a family is affected when a series of tornadoes comes throught their town. It also ties in perfectly with our weather unit in science. We will be focusing on revisiting the reading comprehension skills that we have studied all year, such as summarizing, questioning, connecting and predicting, by participating in book clubs during this unit.

LANGUAGE ARTSPronouns is our new unit. We will be looking at the difference between subject and object pronouns this week.
SOCIAL STUDIES
The Chapter 11 TEST will be on Tuesday, 4/29. Students were given a 4X6 notecard for writing notes that they will be allowed to use for the test. We will begin Chapter 12 at the end of the week.

MATH - Mrs. Bell's Class
We will be wrapping up Chapter 6 with a look at misleading graphs, and stem and leaf plots. The Chapter 6 TEST will be on Thursday, 5/1.
FYI
I'd like to say a huge "THANK YOU" to everyone who sent in donations for our Chinese cooking 
day. The fried rice and tea were delicious, thanks to the hard work and cooperation of our student chefs. I think that some students even tried a new vegetable or two! We also enjoyed challenging ourselves to eat with chopsticks! What a fun morning!
