Spelling - Silent Theme 6 Review
This week's spelling lesson will be a review list. Students must earn a 100% on the pretest to qualify for challenge work. The final TEST on this lesson will be given on Friday, 5/13. The cursive page and Google Classroom activities are also due that day.
Reading - Journey to America
This week we begin the third portion of our Journeys unit titled "Journey to America". The first text that we will read is titled, If Your Name was Changed at Ellis Island. This is a nonfiction piece that details the immigrant experience. Students will work independently and in small groups to close read the text, and to respond to text dependent questions.
Social Studies - The West
The West map QUIZ is scheduled for Monday, 5/9. From there we will move on to comparing and contrasting the varieties of climates found in this beautiful region. Be sure to ask your child where the timberline in the Rocky Mountains is...we had a marvelous conversation on this topic in class!
Science - How Does Your Body Think & Move?
The chapter 4 TEST is scheduled for Wednesday, 5/11. Students will be given study guides on 5/6.
Mrs. Bell's Math Class - Unit 6 - Graphing, Geometry & Volume
Discovering and graphing patterns on the coordinate grid will be our focus this week.
